'If He Gave Provoking Speech, Strict Action Should Be Taken': Gautam Gambhir On Kapil Mishra
Speaking to ANI, when the cricketer-turned-politician was asked to react to party colleague Kapil Mishra's speech, he said, "If he (Mishra) has given any provoking speech, then strict action should be taken against him."
New Delhi: Amid the ongoing violent clashes over the amended citizenship law in northeast Delhi, BJP MP from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir called for strict action against the culprits of the incident and said no matter who the person is or what his/her political affiliations are, strict action should be taken.
Speaking to ANI, when the cricketer-turned-politician was asked to react to Kapil Mishra's speech, he said, "If he (Mishra) has given any provoking speech, then strict action should be taken against him."
The violence erupted in the North-East district of Delhi claimed lives of seven person as pro and anti-CAA groups resorted to violence and clashed in the area. BJP leader Kapil Mishra had earlier set a three-day deadline for anti-CAA protesters to clear the roads in Jafarabad and Chand Bagh. However, as of now no action has been yet taken against Mishra. AAP Corporator Reshma Nadeem and Haseeb ul Hasan have filed complaint against Kapil Mishra for inciting mobs in Sunday and Mondays violence.
