Himachal's Chamba Rumals To Kinnauri Shawls: PM Modi's Gift To World Leaders At G20 Summit
The gift items will include Chamba 'rumals', Kangra miniature paintings, Kinnauri shawl, Kullu shawl and Kanal brass for various world leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be presenting unique art and handicraft items from Himachal Pradesh to world leaders at the upcoming G20 summit in Indonesia. The gifts from Himachal Pradesh on a world stage will also give a boost to the state’s art and culture. The gift items will include Chamba 'rumals', Kangra miniature paintings, Kinnauri shawl, Kullu shawl and Kanal brass for various world leaders, the officials informed, as reported by news agency PTI.

This will give a chance to the art and culture of Himachal Pradesh to travel far and wide to various countries.

PM Modi also unveiled the logo, theme and website of India’s G-20 Presidency via video conferencing on Tuesday. Speaking at the launch, PM Modi, as quoted by news agency ANI said, "India has led the world with initiatives like One Sun, One World, and One Grid in conserving renewable energy. Our mantra of One Earth, One Family, One Future in G20 will pave a path for global welfare."
The G20 summit will be held on November 15 and 16 in Bali and Prime Minister Modi will be among the top leaders taking part in the Summit. The G20 comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the European Union (EU).
The premier forum for international economic cooperation represents almost 85 per cent of the global GDP, over 75 per cent of the global trade, and almost two-thirds of the world population.
India will assume G20 Presidency from December 1, 2022 and during its G20 Presiedency duration, the country will hold about 200 meetings in 32 different sectors in multiple locations across the nation.
