Railways To Run This Special Train From Delhi To Bihar For Diwali, Chhath Puja — All You Need To Know

Delhi to Bihar Train: If you too are planning to go home for Chhath Puja and Diwali this year, you no longer have to worry about tickets. In view of the convenience of passengers returning home for the festive season, Indian Railways has announced a special train service. This train is scheduled to run from New Delhi to Bihar.

This train service is perfect for passengers travelling from Delhi to Bihar and vice-versa. The best thing about this new train service is that you don't have to worry much about booking train tickets. 

Gati Shakti Superfast Special Train Service:

This special A/C train service has been named Gati Shakti Superfast Special Train Service by the Indian Railways. Indian Railways has scheduled to make its first run on Sunday.  

Train Route:

The Gati Shakti Superfast Special Train would run between Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi and Patna Junction. The department has used third-class economy coaches for this service, which is cheaper than other trains.

Why is this train service being run?

It is often seen that passengers from Bihar are quite upset when they are unable to get confirmed seats to go home for Chhath Puja and Diwali and this is why Indian Railways have announced this train service to ensure the convenience of travelers by providing them confirmed seats conveniently. 

Indian Railways issues statement:

In a statement, Indian Railways have introduced a special train service, 01684/01683 Anand Vihar Terminal-Patna-Anand Vihar Terminal Speed Power Superfast. This train is equipped with 20 new coaches, all being Economy Class 3AC coaches.  

Departure Train Schedule:

Train No. 01684 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.10 pm and reach Patna Junction at 3:45 pm the next day. This departure service is scheduled to run on 29th and 31st October and 2nd, 5th and 7th November. 

Arrival Train Schedule: 

Train number 01683 would leave Patna Junction at 5.45 pm and arrive at New Delhi's Anand Vihar Terminal at 9.50 am the next day. This return train service would be operating on October 30 and on November 1, 3, 6 and 8.  

Stops:

This train service would stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Varanasi, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and Danapur stations on the way. Passengers would be able to enjoy new features like AC Vents, LED Lights, Charging Points as well as Foldable Refreshment Tables in these updated coaches. In addition, these coaches have also been designed keeping in mind differently-abled passengers.
