'Enacting law only option for Ram temple, those in power should listen to people': RSS leader Bhaiyyaji Joshi at VHP rally
At the massive rally organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in the Ramlila ground of national capital for demanding the construction of Ram Temple, the RSS executive remarked that the country wants “Ram Rajya” and legislation is the only solution for it.
New Delhi: The Rashtriya Sewak Sangh on Sunday increased the pressure on the government to bring a law for Ram Temple construction, as its leader Suresh 'Bhaiyyaji' Joshi made a veiled attack on the BJP for not fulfilling its promise of building the Temple in Ayodhya and demanded that the Union government should enact a legislation, if need be, for it.
At the massive rally organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in the Ramlila ground for demanding the construction of Ram Temple, the RSS executive remarked that the country wants “Ram Rajya” and legislation is the only solution for it. he said that Ram Temple is the demand of the temple.
He said, "Those in power today had promised to construct a Ram Temple. They should listen to people and fulfil the demand of temple in Ayodhya. They are aware of the sentiments."
Without naming the BJP, Joshi added, "We are not begging for it. We are expressing our emotions. The country wants 'Ram Rajya'."
He said the country that develops a distrust for the judicial system cannot walk on the path of development. The Supreme Court should also delve into this factor and take public sentiments into account, Joshi said.
Joshi said, “Government must fulfil its Ram temple promise to the people, and there is no other solution than bringing an ordinance.”
"We are not engaged in a conflict with any community. We are not begging but expressing sentiments. Enacting a law is the only option for Ram temple. The movement will continue till the promise is fulfilled," he said.
He further said that the government is yet to try the way of law.
Joshi further said that the work initiated in 1992 has been left incomplete (Babri Masjid demolition).
RSS had even earlier built pressure on the government to bring ordinance pertaining to ram temple. Even RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had earlier said that “it is time government brings an ordinance on Ram Temple”.
Swami Hansdevacharya of Haridwar "warned" Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "we will not let him off his seat until the temple is built. He must fulfil his promise."
Thousands of people have gathered at Ramlila Maidan for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad rally, which comes ahead of Parliament's winter session commencing on Tuesday.
The VHP has been saying that it was confident that the bill will be tabled in the upcoming winter session of Parliament for paving the way for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
