Dharampal Gulati, Owner Of MDH, Passes Away At 98 Due To Cardiac Arrest

The spice king of India, Dharampal Gulati, owner of MDH Masala, passed away on Thursday morning. He was 98.

According to reports, Gulati was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi for the last three weeks. He suffered cardiac arrest on Thursday morning. The MDH Owner breathed his last at 5:38 AM. The king of spices, Dharampal Gulati of MDH, fondly called 'dadaji' and 'Mahashayji', was born in 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Dharampal Gulati joined his father's spice business in Sialkot. He moved to India after Partition and opened a shop in Delhi’s Karol Bagh. From his shop in Karol Bagh, ‘Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati built MDH one of India's leading spices manufacturers. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia mourned the demise of the MDH owner. Sharing photos of ‘Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati, Manish Sisodia wrote on Twitter, “India's most inspiring entrepreneur, MDH owner Dharm Pal Mahashay passed away this morning. I have never met such an inspiring and lively soul. May his soul rest in peace.” Sharing Manish Sisodia’s post, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said Dharampal Gulati was an inspiring personality who dedicated his life for society. Leaders, Twitter users condoled the death of 'Mahashay' Dharampal Gulati.
