Despite Chinese troops' presence in Doklam PM Modi had 'non-agenda' discussion with Xi : Rahul Gandhi
While interacting with Indian Journalists Association in London, Gandhi said that somebody comes to India, delivers a slap on the face and the government holds non-agenda discussion with them.
New Delhi: Continuing his streak, Congress president Rahul Gandhi fired fresh salvo at the Modi government from London regarding the Doklam standoff with China.
Gandhi said that PM Modi went to China without an agenda, despite the presence of Chinese troops in Indian territory, Rahul said.
On being asked about Doklam issue Gandhi recapped that PM recently went to China and came without discussing Doklam with them. He said the PM went there without an agenda.
“Somebody comes here, slaps you on your face and you have a non-agenda discussion," ANI quoted Rahul.
During an interaction at the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London, the Congress chief took a sardonic dig at the incumbent government and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dispensation claimed that China withdrew its forces from Doklam, but the "Chinese are still present" at the disputed site.
On Friday, Gandhi asserted that the Doklam standoff could have been avoided if the current government at the Centre-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi dealt with the matter more diligently.
