Delhi: History-Sheeter Shot Dead By 10-15 Assailants; Police Suspects Gang Rivalry

New Delhi: In a broad daylight shooting in New Delhi's Narela area, a person named Virendra Maan alias Kale was shot dead by a gang of unidentified assailants on Sunday, agencies reported. The deceased person had 13 criminal cases registered against him and had also earlier unsuccessfully contested the municipal polls from Bahujan Samaj Party in 2013. As per police officials, the man named Virendra was a known criminal of the area Prima facie the incident appears to be an end result of a gang rivalry. About 10-15 unidentified goons fired some 25-30 rounds at the target. He was rushed to Satyawadi Harish Chand Hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police has registered a case and is in search of the culprits. (This is a breaking news story, more details are awaited)
