Delhi BJP spokesperson says Arvind Kejriwal conspired chilli powder attack on himself
Arvind Kejriwal's eyeglasses were broken in the assault and sachet of chilli powder was also found outside Kejriwal's chamber in the Delhi Secretariat.
NEW DELHI: After a major breach of security at the Delhi Secretariat where chilly powder was thrown at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi BJP spokesperson accused that Kejriwal plants such attacks on him before elections. While talking to ABP News Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga said, “Those who have attacked him in the past have joined AAP. I am waiting for his upcoming tweet where he will blame PM Modi for the attack in Delhi Secretariat.”
BJP leader Tarun Chugh condemned the attack on Arvind Kejriwal and said “whether the attack is on Manoj Tiwari or CM, democracy should not be attacked.” The incident took place around 2 pm when the AAP convenor left his chamber to have lunch. According to sources, a man, Anil Kumar, approached Kejriwal to talk to him and threw chilli powder in his eyes after getting close. It is also reported that the attacker named Anil had also announced about attacking Delhi CM on his Facebook page. Kejriwal's eyeglasses were broken in the assault. A sachet of chilli powder was also found outside Kejriwal's chamber in the Delhi Secretariat. Police are now investigating the case.
