In the surprise inspection of Defence ministry offices located at South Block, Rajnath Singh visited the budget department and looked at the pile of files there.

He asked about the files, seeking to know for how long the work on them has remained pending.

The employees informed that they are reading the replies recorded in these files. On this, the Defense Minister clearly sought to know when this work would be completed. The employees present there assured him that the work on those files will be completed today.

The headquarters of the Ministry of Defense is located at the South Block in Raisina Hill. A large part of the building houses the offices of the ministry. Apart from this, there are also the Secretariat of the Chief of the Army Staff and Navy Chief.

This building of the British era reflects its age with the structural dampness and other problems seen in the structure. Apart from this, the stories about work progressing slowly in the Defense ministry are also famous. In such a situation, the surprise inspection of Rajnath Singh is significant.
