India Registers Massive Decline In Covid Cases, Country Records 18K Cases After 201 Days
The current active caseload has dipped below 3 lakhs after 6 months and the tally stands at 2,92,206.
Corona Cases Update: The country has registered a huge decline in Coronavirus cases. India has reported new less than 20,000 daily new cases after 201 days.
The country clocked 18,795 new cases, 179 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministery.

Kerala
Registering a decline in the daily surge, Kerala on Monday recorded 11,699 fresh COVID-19 cases and 58 deaths, which took the caseload to 46,41,614 and the death toll to 24,661, according to the health bulletin released by the state.
The number of recoveries from the virus in the last 24 hours was 17,763 which brought the total recoveries to 44,59,193 and the number of active cases to 1,57,158, said the official press release.
As many as 80,372 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, the release said.
Among the 14 districts, Thrissur recorded the highest number of cases with 1,667, followed by Ernakulam (1,529), Thiruvananthapuram (1,133), Kozhikode (997), and Malappuram (942).
Of the new cases, 41 were health workers, 32 from outside the state and 11,134 infected through contact, with the source of it not clear in 492.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra reported 2,432 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, the lowest daily count since February 8, and 32 fresh deaths, taking the infection tally to 65,41,762 and the toll to 1,38,902, as per a PTI report.
At 2,432, the state has reported the lowest number of new coronavirus infections since February 8, when it had witnessed 2,216 cases.
Maharashtra witnessed a dip in COVID-19 cases as well as deaths as compared to Sunday, when it reported 3,206 infections and 36 fatalities.
The official said with 2,895 patients discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the number of recovered cases rose to 63,62,248.
Maharashtra now has 37,036 active cases.
The state has 2,57,144 people in home quarantine and another 1,517 in institutional quarantine.
