Celebrities drape themselves in Tricolour on India's 70th Independence Day

New Delhi: As the nation echoed ‘Mera Bhaarat Mahaan’ (My India is great) and ushered into the spirit of Nationalism on India’s 70th Independence Day; the zeal among Bollywood celebrities seems to be peaking high. Keeping up the spirit of Independence, the fraternity came forth and shared several over whelming pictures and videos which reflected their patriotic fervour. Shah Rukh Khan shared a very enthusiastic video of him wishing the whole country a very Happy Independence Day. Bollywood’s King Khan said that he asked his kids to share their version of Tricolour, which he shared in his video.

Actor Akshay Kumar paid tribute to the soldier via his video and said, “No gesture will be enough to show our gratitude but here's saluting the undying spirit of our HEROES! Jai Hind!” Even actor Ritesh Deshmukh and Madhuri Dixit reached out to the people of the country and wished everyone via their Twitter accounts.   Actor Amitabh Bachchan put a Twitter profile picture coloured in Tri-colour. Bachchan also tweeted a picture of his fans gathered outside his bungalow with tricolours in their hands and patriotism in their minds.   Jacqueline Fernandez shared a picture of her shaking hands with a cop. This was her way of showing her solidarity with the country. Jacqueline also wished everyone "Happy Independence Day". Not just Bollywood even cricketers seemed all pumped up with the spirit of patriotism. Actor Virat Kohli who is an idol for many cricket fans shared a video message, where he wished the whole country. Even Cheteshwar Pujara, the renowned wicket keeper a shared a Independence Day message on Twitter.
