CBSE UGC NET July Result 2018: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the UGC NET result 2018 yesterday on its official website - cbseresults.nic.in. For the first time, the more than 55,000 candidates could reportedly qualify the exam. As per the report by TOI, 55,872 candidates qualified for the post of the assistant professor after clearing University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test exam on Tuesday. Last year the number of candidates who passed UGC- Net was 38,000. Also, for the first time, the result was declared within a few weeks of the exam that was conducted on July 8. Earlier the results were to be announced after three months. This year a total of 11,48,235 applicants registered for the exam, out of which 8,59,498 candidates sat for the test. Which is again the highest-ever numbers for the exam, as per the report. And around 6.5 percent of them finally made the cut. This was the last UGN NET exams conducted by CBSE. From the next exam that will be conducted from December 2018, it will be taken care by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam that is scheduled to take place later this year, will be a computer-based model that will be conducted for 10 days in multiple shifts, instead of one day. The candidates who had appeared for the exam that was conducted on July 8 and the re-exam that was conducted at Allahabad centre on July 22, can now find their result on the official website.
