Bihar Election Results: How ABP News Exit Poll Projections Proved Accurate

Nitish-led NDA has secured 125 seats, while Tejashwi-led Grand Alliance has won on 110 seats. As per ABP News’ exit poll, NDA was expected to win seats in the range of 104-128. It had predicted seats in the range of 108 to 131 for the Tejashwi-led Grand Alliance.

Bihar Election Results: ABP News-CVoter Exit Poll predictions again stood validated in the Bihar assembly elections. An NDA government is all set to be formed with 125 seats in the 243-member strong assembly. All the projections of seat range for different parties in our exit polls have also emerged accurate, whereas other exit polls could not get the predictions for the seat range of UPA, NDA, LJP and Others correctly. Nitish-led NDA has secured 125 seats, while Tejashwi-led Grand Alliance has won on 110 seats. As per ABP News’ exit poll, NDA was expected to win seats in the range of 104-128. It had predicted seats in the range of 108 to 131 for the Tejashwi-led Grand Alliance. Not only this, in the exit poll, Chirag Paswan-led LJP was expected to get one to three seats and LJP ended up with only one seat. At the same time, four to eight seats were said to go into the account of other parties. In actual results, other parties got 7 seats.

A Look At Party-Wise Seats:  Though Tejashwi Yadav's alliance with Congress and Left did not work wonders for him, his Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) solely emerged as the single largest party with 75 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) became the second single largest party by winning 74 seats, while Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United (JDU) bagged 43 seats. NDA partners Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) clinched four seats each. Of the Grand Alliance's 110 seats, Congress won 19 seats, the Communist Party of India-Marxist-Leninist (Liberation) won 12, Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of India-Marxist won two seats each.
