The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Trinamool Congress MLA Jiban Krishna Saha from his residence in Murshidabad’s Burwan after a marathon interrogation since April 14, sources told ABP News, adding that the CBI officials are bringing him to their Kolkata office. According to the officials, Saha had thrown two mobile phones in a pond adjacent to his house when the federal agency’s team arrived at his residence on Friday morning.
While the officers have retrieved one of the mobile phones after pumping out all the water from the pond, the search for the other one is still on.
Experts were at work to retrieve the data stored in the recovered device, the official added.

"We are leaving no stone unturned to find out the other mobile," he said.
The CBI officials seized at least five bags, full of documents, from a garbage dumping site near Saha’s residence, he said.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has agreed to list TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee's plea on April 24 and granted interim relief by staying Calcutta High Court's order which directed investigating agencies to question him, till the next date of listing.
Another team of CBI sleuths had raided the house of former TMC block president Bibhas Adhikari in Birbhum district on April 15 for his alleged involvement in the school job scandal.

On the instruction of the Kolkata High Court, the central agencies are probing The scam related to the recruitment in state-run and-aided schools in the state.
Two more CBI teams conducted raids at the residence of another accused Gopal Dalapati in the Purba Medinipur district.
The central agency officers also raided the flats of his wife Haimonti Ganguly in the Haridevpur area in Kolkata and also in Howrah district, he said.
Former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and his aides are currently in custody and are being investigated in connection with the scam.
