Assam Exit Poll Result 2021 Date Time: An estimated 82.33 per cent of 79.2 lakh electors voted in the third and last phase of Assam Assembly election in 40 constituencies on April 6.

With the West Bengal elections on its last leg and other states including Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry finishing with the polls, the much-awaited exit polls will remain in focus after the election gets over in Bengal on Thursday.

The northeastern state Assam conducted elections in three phases starting March 27, April 1, and 6.

But before the final day arrives and the counting begins, ABP News along with C Voter have analyzed all the factors and spoke to the voters to understand how people voted and what dominated their minds at the time of voting.

The ABP News Exit Poll to be broadcasted on Thursday from 5 pm onwards will give you a clear picture of what is likely to be unfolded on May 2.

With the eighth and last phase of the election in West Bengal being conducted on Thursday, April 29, exit poll numbers will be broadcasted on Thursday on ABP News.

An estimated 82.33 percent of 79.2 lakh electors voted in the third and last phase of the Assam Assembly election in 40 constituencies on April 6. In the three-phased Assam Assembly polls for 126 constituencies, the state witnessed 79.93 per cent polling on 47 seats during the first phase on March 27 and 80.96 percent on 39 seats during the second phase on April 1.

In its final phase, voters exercised in Assam their power to decide the fate of 337 candidates, including 25 women aspirants while following Covid-19 protocols including social distancing and thermal screening being maintained.

The prominent candidates in the fray in the first phase are Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal (Majuli), Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami (Jorhat), ministers Ranjit Dutta (Behali), Naba Kumar Doley (Jonai), and Sanjoy Kishan (Tinsukia), along with AGP ministers Atul Bora (Bokakhat) and Keshab Mahanta (Kaliabor).

In the second phase, the prominent contesting candidates are BJP, ministers Parimal Suklabaidya (Dholai), Bhabesh Kalita (Rangia), Pijush Hazarika (Jagiroad), and Deputy Speaker Aminul Haque Laskar (Sonai).

Former Congress minister Gautam Roy who joined the saffron party is contesting from Katigorah on a BJP ticket while his son Rahul Roy and daughter-in-law Daisy Roy are contesting as independents from Udharbond and Algapur respectively.

At present, the BJP-led NDA is ruling the state coming to power in 2016. It had won 86 of 126 seats in last election. However, election 2021 will see the BJP fighting it out against the grand alliance of eight parties including Congress and Badruddin Ajmal’s AIUDF.
