Mumbai: One Dead After Massive Fire Breaks Out At Film Set In Andheri West
Mumbai fire brigade officials have informed that efforts to douse the blaze is underway and no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
One person was killed after a massive Level 2 fire erupted near Star Bazar in Mumbai's Anderi West area on Friday evening following which as many as 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. According to reports, the fire was reported in near Star Bazar on link road around 4.30 pm.
A 32-year-old male was brought dead after a level 2 fire broke out in Mumbai's Andheri West area this evening: Dr Sadaphule, AMO, Cooper Hospital, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier, officials had said the fire started in a shop in the area, but later they confirmed that it was at a film set. BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, Traffic Police, Ward Staff, Water Department and officials of Adani Energy have been mobilized for the rescue operations.
Addtionally, around 108 ambulances are also present on the site.
The blaze was reported from Andheri West's Chitrakoot. Visuals from the scene showed huge plumes of smoke billowing from the building which was apparently a film set of director Luv Ranjan.
According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor were in lead roles in the film. The fire broke out during the pre-lighting on the set. Shooting for the movie was to begin from next week.
In a similar incident that took place in May, a major fire broke out on the second floor of the Life Insurance Corporation of India suburban office in Vile Parle West.
The blaze was noticed around 7 am on May 7 on the upper floor of the ground-plus 2-storied building which was closed at that hour due the weekend holiday, and no casualties are reported.
