6 Terrorists Affiliated With JeM Kiled In South Kashmir, 2 Identified As Pakistani Nationals

New Delhi: Six terrorists and militants affiliated with terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad have been killed in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag and Kulgam districts, the police said on Thursday. Four of them have been identified so far, while the identity of two terrorists remains unknown.
Inspector-General of Police Vijay Kumar took to Twitter to tell about the encounters. On the official Twitter handle of Kashmir Zone police, he confirmed that two of the dead are identified as Pakistani nationals. He reiterated that it is a big success for the police department.

According to sources, the operation was conducted jointly by the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force, and the Kashmir Police on Wednesday. The teams were conducting a cordon and search operation in the Mirhama area of Kulgam district, acting on a tipoff.
During the search, the terrorists fired upon the police which led to an encounter in Kulgam district in South Kashmir said, officials. Three of the militants were killed in the encounter, the officials said.
Another such incident took place in the Nowgam Shahabad area of Dooru in the Anantnag district. The armed forces also recovered arms and ammunition during the search including an M4 and two AK-47 rifles.
During the encounters, a policeman was also injured and was taken to the hospital.
