Shocking! iPhone X allegedly explodes while upgrading to 12.1 iOS, Apple to investigate

The user claimed that his 10-month old iPhone X that charging the phone, it started emitting smoke and eventually blasted after it was successfully updated to iOS 12.1.

New Delhi: An Apple iPhone X unit allegedly exploded during the process when the phone was updating to iOS 12.1. The incident was reported from US on Wednesday, where the owner of the phone took to Twitter and shared the picture of the damaged phone. The cracked glass and burn marks were clearly visible in the pictures posted on the microblogging site. Taking a note of the incident from the Twitter, the Apple Support account reached out to the owner of the phone, Rahel Mohamad from Federal Way, Washington in the United States and promised an investigation into the matter. The user claimed that his 10-month old iPhone X that charging the phone, it started emitting smoke and eventually blasted after it was successfully updated to iOS 12.1, as per the report by News18. Mohamad has reached out to Apple which stresses to investigate the matter further. The company has asked him to ship the iPhone X to them. In a reply on Twitter to his original tweet, Apple Support said that this is definitely not expected behaviour and would wish to resolve it soon.
