ABP Network Collaborates With Google On Its New Feature ‘Web Stories’

ABP Network is among the few publishers in India that have been working with Google to kickstart the Web Stories ecosystem. Through this association, ABP Live will creatively use the Web Stories format to experiment with novel ways to tell immersive stories for a diverse set of content categories.

New Delhi: Google has added a dedicated ‘Web Stories’ carousel in its Discover feed. The Web Stories format is an innovative and engaging way to both create and consume content on the open web. This carousel will appear at the top of Discover for users in India, the US and Brazil. Web Stories are a visual and immersive format that brings web content to life. News publishers can get started with Web Stories today by checking out stories.google and can use drag-and-drop tools like MakeStories, NewsroomAI, and Google’s recently released Web Stories Editor to create Web Stories in minutes. In India, Web Stories are available in English and Hindi, with more languages coming later This feature not only brings a visual-driven format to the evolving news consumption on mobile but also allows content creators to focus on storytelling by minimizing technical challenges. ABP Network Collaborates With Google On Its New Feature ‘Web Stories’ All you need to do is to tap on a Story which is divided into ‘cards' and then again tap on the right side to move forward to go to a different Story, or on the left to go back. As a news publisher, the feature will let you run a slideshow, text, full-screen videos, and animations. “For creators and publishers, Web Stories are entirely under your direction, just like any other content on your website. There is no additional revenue share for Story ads and Story authors are in full control of hosting, sharing and adding links to those Stories.. Plus, the web offers one of the largest audiences for creators, with publishers already seeing strong results, as shown in the stories.google showcase. And because Web Stories are just an extension of a website, some early adopters of Web Stories are showcasing their stories on their home page, social channels, newsletters and more,” the company wrote in a blog post. ABP Network is among the few publishers in India that have been working with Google to kickstart the Web Stories ecosystem. Through this association, ABP Live will creatively use the Web Stories format to experiment with novel ways to tell immersive stories for a diverse set of content categories such as business, sports, movies, crime, travel, gadgets, etc. With diverse visual narratives, engaging animations, and tappable interactions, it has something in store for every kind of audience.
