Bihar: Surveillance Raid At Muzaffarpur DTO's House, Cash Worth Lakhs Including Valuables Recovered
Regarding the action, monitoring DSP Anjani Kumar said that the complaint was received, after which raids have been conducted in the disproportionate assets case.
Patna: On Thursday, the house of the Muzaffarpur District Transport Officer was raided by the Patna team of the Surveillance Investigation Bureau. The monitoring team reached and searched his flat in the Suman Apartment.
This apartment is located in the Kankarbagh police station area of DTO Rajneesh Lal's residence in the capital Patna. Then the team searched his residence in Muzaffarpur. During this raid, the surveillance department recovered a huge amount of gold and silver ornaments along with Rs 50 lakh in cash. It is being told that the action of the monitoring department is still on.
Regarding the action taken, monitoring DSP Anjani Kumar said that the complaint was received, after which raids have been conducted in the disproportionate assets case.
Around Rs, 50 lakh in cash has been recovered during the search. Expensive jewelry has also been recovered. Currently, the search is on, detailed information will be given after the search is over. The DSP said that Rajneesh Lal is the DTO of Muzaffarpur and Chapra.
It is to be noted that the department had received a complaint against the transport officer for acquiring disproportionate assets. Hence, both their residences have been raided together by forming a team under the leadership of the DSP of surveillance
