Attacks Against Governor Depicts Level Of Law & Order Situation In Kerala, Says Union MoS V Muraleedharan

Union Minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan claimed that threats had been issued by the Chief Minister and the Communist party secretary in recent weeks.

A day after Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan accused CM Pinarayi Vijayan of conspiring against him, Union Minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan stated that Monday's incident in Thiruvananthapuram where the Kerala Governor was attacked depicted the level of the law and order situation in the state. He claimed that threats had been issued by the Chief Minister and the Communist party secretary in recent weeks.

On SFI's black flag protest against Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Union Minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan said, "The Kerala CM and the Communist party secretary have been issuing threats to the Governor during the last few weeks."

"Yesterday's incident in Thiruvananthapuram where Kerala Governor was attacked depicts the level of law and order situation in the state. The fact that he was attacked thrice during his travel from Raj Bhavan to the airport, a distance of around 5 km and these people were let loose by the ruling front and police were made ineffective to suit the interests of the people who were there to attack the Governor," he said.

On Monday, Kerala Governor after the attack said, "Today the 'gundas' are trying to rule the roads of Thiruvananthapuram. When they came, I stopped my car and I got down (from my car). Why did they flee?... Because I do not wish to be pressurised by their tactics, therefore they are trying to threaten me... They hit my car from both sides..."

"Will they allow anyone to come near the car of the CM? Police knew them but what can the police do when the CM is directing them... It is the CM, he is conspiring and he is sending these people to hurt me physically... The collapse of the constitutional machinery cannot be allowed," he said.
