Seven people were killed and many left injured after a vehicle rammed into a parked truck in Gujarat's Patan district. While News agency ANI said seven people were killed while news agency PTI said six people died in the accident.

The incident took place near Radhanpur when the driver of the Mahindra Jeep, which was carrying some 15 passengers, lost control after a tyre burst, Deputy Superintendent of Police K K Pandya told PTI. The jeep was heading for Varahi village, he said.

The six deceased were identified as Samjubhai Fulwadi (50), Dudabhai Rathod (50), Radhaben Parmar (35), Kajal Parmar (59), Amruta Vanzara (15) and Pinalben Vanzara (7), as reported by PTI.

The injured persons were referred to different hospitals in Radhanpur and Patan, said Pandya.

A First Information Report under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act will be registered against the drivers of both vehicles if they are found guilty, he added.

4 women workers killed in Telangana road accident

Four women workers were killed and four others were injured in a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a bus in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Thursday. The accident occurred near Dandumlakpur industrial area at Choutuppal, about 50 km from Hyderabad, as reported by news agency IANS.

According to police, an auto-rickshaw in which the women workers were travelling collided head-on with a private bus.

The women from a nearby village were going to the industrial area for daily work. Three of them died on the spot while four others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

The deceased were identified as V. Anasuya (55), D. Nagalaxmi (28), D. Srisiha (30) and C. Dhanlaxmi (35). Police registered a case and took up further investigation.

In another accident in Rangareddy district, one person was killed in a collision between a tractor and a car. Police said the tractor driver was killed in the collision at Moinabad. Those travelling in car sustained minor injuries.
