Wild Wild Punjab review: Varun Sharma, Sunny Singh Starrer is a laugh riot that not only entertains but also offers a fun way to deal with heartbreak.

Wild Wild Punjab review: Is heartbreak getting you down? Stuck in a social media rut, watching sad videos on repeat? ‘Wild Wild Punjab’ is here to break the cycle! This fun and entertaining movie will lift your spirits and leave you with something new to talk about. It's the perfect escape to get your mind off your ex and back to enjoying life.

Wild Wild Punjab plot

The plot revolves around Rajesh Khanna, played by Varun Sharma, also known as Khanna, our very own Choocha, who is heartbroken. His mission is to tell his ex-girlfriend, "I am over you" or, in simpler terms, "Go to hell." Helping him in this endeavour are his friends Sunny Singh, Jassie Gill, and Manjot Singh. They embark on a journey to Pathankot, and along the way, wild things happen – including a drunken wedding and a lot of hilarious moments. We won't give away too much because the film is only two hours long. Go ahead and watch it!

How is Wild Wild Punjab

This film focuses on one thing – entertainment, and it delivers in spades. The movie jumps straight to the point from the beginning and keeps presenting one hilarious twist after another. The funny scenes will keep you entertained throughout. Each character fits perfectly into their roles, and many comic scenes will make you laugh out loud. The situations created are genuinely amusing. This film highlights that friends are the best thing in life and that there is nothing you can't achieve with their support. It provides a delightful remedy for heartache.

Acting

The cast of this film is its USP – everyone is a hero and everyone excels. Varun Sharma portrays Rajesh Khanna with such innocence that you'll remember your heartbreak or relate to him if you're going through one now. His expressions alone can make you laugh, even without dialogue. Sunny Singh, in his macho look, performs brilliantly and executes his role with perfection, showcasing excellent comic timing. Manjot Singh plays a tough Sardar this time, and he stands out in this new avatar, entertaining in his unique way. Jassie Gill impresses as a lovable, father-fearing son, and his expressions perfectly convey this fear. Those who fear their fathers will relate to him. Patralekha impresses in a role opposite to her usual image, proving her versatility. Ishita Raj delivers a stellar performance fitting the character perfectly. The rest of the cast also performs exceptionally well.

Direction

Simarpreet Singh has directed this film, presenting an important issue in an entertaining manner, which is commendable. This film shows that even serious issues can be depicted with humour. The director maintains a firm grip on the film throughout. However, a few more comic punches could have added to the fun.

'Wild Wild Punjab’ is a laugh riot that not only entertains but also offers a fun way to deal with heartbreak. It's a must-watch for anyone looking to laugh their pain away and enjoy a light-hearted cinematic experience.
