Sikandar Ka Muqaddar review: A good suspense film is one that keeps you hooked until the very last moment, challenging your assumptions and surprising you with twists you didn’t see coming. Netflix’s 'Sikandar Ka Muqaddar' achieves just that. With its engaging narrative and edge-of-the-seat suspense, the film ensures viewers stay glued to their screens from start to finish.

Sikandar Ka Muqaddar plot

The story begins with the theft of valuable diamonds during an exhibition. This high-stakes heist, worth crores, leads to Inspector Jaswinder Singh (played by Jimmy Sheirgill) being assigned the case. Known for his flawless record of solving 100% of his cases, Jaswinder is convinced that Avinash Tiwary and Tamannaah Bhatia’s characters are behind the crime, as they were present at the scene. Confident in his abilities, he vows to crack the case within 24 hours. But will he succeed? The answer unfolds in a gripping tale full of unexpected twists.

How is Sikandar Ka Muqaddar?

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, his mark is clearly visible in the film. The suspense in the film is amazing, and this time, Neeraj has gone a step further. Unlike conventional thrillers that span a few hours or days, this story takes its mystery across years. Two parallel timelines—one set in the present and the other 15 years later—add to the intrigue. The storytelling is so compelling that you can’t take your eyes off the screen. Every twist and turn leads to an ending that will leave you stunned.

Performances

Jimmy Sheirgill delivers a stellar performance as Jaswinder, a stubborn and determined cop. His conviction as a character makes it easy for the audience to believe in his methods, even when the odds are against him.

Tamannaah Bhatia proves she is much more than a glamorous performer. Portraying a mother, her role demands emotional depth, and she excels in delivering a nuanced performance.

Avinash Tiwary shines as well, convincingly portraying both vulnerability and cunning. His portrayal of various shades of his character is impressive.

Direction

Neeraj Pandey once again demonstrates his expertise in the suspense-thriller genre. The pacing is tight, with no dull moments, and the suspense is maintained throughout. He crafts a narrative that keeps the audience guessing until the very last scene. Unlike other thrillers, this film doesn’t give away its secrets prematurely, leaving you completely immersed in its mystery.

With its gripping storyline, outstanding performances, and impeccable direction, this film is a must-watch for fans of suspense thrillers. If you’re looking for a nail-biting, well-crafted thriller, this one should definitely be on your watchlist.
