YouTuber Arrested For Blocking Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s Convoy In Kerala

The Mannuthy police detained Aneesh Abraham, a resident of Elanadu, in connection with the incident and later released him on station bail. His car was also seized, officials said.

A YouTuber was taken into custody for allegedly obstructing the convoy of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Kerala, police said on Monday.

The Mannuthy police detained Aneesh Abraham, a resident of Elanadu, in connection with the incident and later released him on station bail. His car was also seized, officials said.

Confrontation With Police

The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday at Mannuthy Bypass Junction while Vadra was en route to Kochi Airport from Malappuram after attending various events in her constituency.

According to police sources, Abraham allegedly stopped his vehicle in front of the convoy, reportedly frustrated by the honking of the pilot vehicle escorting the Wayanad MP. When a police team led by the Mannuthy Sub-Inspector attempted to clear the obstruction, he allegedly engaged in a heated altercation with them.

Authorities have registered a case against Abraham for deliberately obstructing the convoy, endangering lives, and defying police orders, officials said.

As part of her visit, Gandhi will offer prayers at the Sree Seetha Devi Lava Kusa Temple and Valliyoorkavu Temple. Additionally, she will inaugurate several projects and lay the foundation stone at Elstone Estate in Wayanad.
