  • Banke Bihari Temple (Mathura) - Renowned as the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura, the Banke Bihari Temple attracts a massive crowd of devotees throughout the year. It is believed that the idol of Banke Bihari Ji has such a magnetic pull that people are drawn towards him as soon as they see the deity. To protect Krishna from the evil eye, a curtain is drawn in front of the idol every 2 minutes.

  • Mahakal Temple (Ujjain) - One of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain is believed to dispel all troubles with a mere glimpse of Lord Shiva. You can start the new year by visiting the Mahakaleshwar Temple, the only Shiva temple where the Bhasma Aarti is performed.
