Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made her electoral debut as she took an oath as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, November 28. Priyanka, who is also the secretary of the All India Congress Committee, chose to celebrate the momentous accasion by wearing a traditional and elegant Kasavu saree, a symbol of Kerala's rich heritage. Known for its pure white fabric with gold borders, Kasavu sarees are a symbol of Kerala's craftsmanship and grace. Priyanka's decision to wear this traditional saree not only reflects her connection with Wayanad, but also pays tribute to the region's unique cultural identity.
