Doctors say hitting physical-activity goals doesn’t necessarily require one to hit the gyms. It can be as simple as dancing or completing your household chores.

The proliferation of gyms in India may suggest a growing culture of physical fitness, but the findings of a new study, published in the Lancet Global Health journal, suggests otherwise.  According to the study, conducted by researchers from the World Health Organization (WHO) with academic colleagues, almost 50% of adults in India engaged in insufficient levels of physical activity in 2022.  Broken down by gender, the figure is 57% for women and 42% for men.
