Significance Of Vishu: 

Vishu Kani Malyalam New Year, also known as Chingam, is celebrated as Vishu in Kerala, and the people of the state celebrate this day as a new beginning. These people begin agricultural activities on this auspicious day. Vishu is celebrated with great folklore and vigour. They offer prayers and seek God's blessings for their family members. They express their gratitude to God for providing them with food, light, money, and knowledge.

On this auspicious day, people get up early in the morning, bathe, and put on new clothes. They go to prominent temples such as Sabrimala Ayappa temple and Guruvayoor Sri Krishna temple to seek Lord's blessings. People even use lights, rangoli, and flowers to decorate their homes.
