'Chocolate Golgappa' Takes Internet By Storm With Its Bizarre Food Combination. WATCH

The video begins with the man dipping two crispy suji puris into a chocolate concoction and evenly coating them. He stuffs the puris with a small scoop of vanilla and strawberry ice cream.

Gol gappa is a popular street food in many parts of the country. This street snack has even crossed borders and appeared on international cooking shows such as MasterChef Australia. Though it is known by various names such as pani puri and puchka, the concept remains the same. It has a smorgasbord of flavours, including tangy, spicy, sweet, and sour. We don't like people messing with these tiny flavorful creations because they hold a special place in our hearts. Unfortunately, our all-time favourite gol gappa has once again fallen victim to strange food combinations. Following on from Mirinda and fire gol gappa, we now have a chocolaty version of this street food.

Bhukkad Bawa, a food blogger, posted a video on Instagram of a street vendor selling chocolate gol gappa in Jaipur. The video begins with the man dipping two crispy suji puris into a chocolate concoction and evenly coating them. He stuffs the puris with a small scoop of vanilla and strawberry ice cream after the puris have dried. The street vendor then drizzles some flavorful liquids on top before finishing with more sev and black salt. "Tag your Gol Gappa Sathi and ask them to come and give you a treat of this Chocolate Gol Gappa," the post's caption reads, with over 9 lakh views so far.

The internet was stunned by the viral video. One Instagram user commented, "RIP Gol Gappa." Another person asked, "Please don't experiment with gol gappa." "Dali, Sev kyun?" Why do you have chocochips in your dal? (Why do you have sev? When everything is sweet, why not keep it sweet by adding chocolate chips?)" inquired someone. "Aisa karke golgappa ka naam kyun kharab kar re ho (Why are you tarnishing the name of gol gappa with these antics)," one commenter asked.

Gol gappas are typically filled with boiled potatoes, chana or chickpeas, chopped onions, and the delectable khatta meetha pani, which has us salivating.
