Children's day is the day that children look forward to all year. The significance of the day stems from the fact that the entire day is dedicated to children, who are practically everyone's favourite creatures. Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 3 tbs of Oleev kitchen Peanut Butter (smooth)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 glass milk
Preparation:
Boil the Milk in a vessel. Add sugar and let it boil. Once boiled set it to rest.
In a bowl, sift the cocoa powder, vanilla powder, and salt together.
Add the dry ingredients to the glass of milk and mix it.
Then add 3 tbsp of Peanut butter to the glass and mix well.
Warm this hot chocolate and serve it in a glass drizzled with peanut butter.
Red Sauce Pasta
Ingredients
- 1½ cups Oleev Kitchen Raw Fusilli Pasta
- 1 teaspoon Oil, optional
- Salt to taste
- Tomato Pasta Sauce (made with approx. 6 large tomatoes)
- Parmesan Cheese or Mozzarella Cheese, for garnishing (optional)
- Oregano
- Chilli flakes
- Dry Basil
Preparation:
Boil approx. 6 cups water in a large pot/pan over medium flame. Add raw pasta, 1 teaspoon of oil, and salt (approx. 1 teaspoon). Stir well and let them boil until pasta is al dente (cooked but not very soft). It will take around 10-12 minutes. Stir in between occasionally to prevent sticking.
To check whether the pasta is cooked or not, bite one pasta. If it is too hard to bite or is white in the center, it is raw and requires cooking a little longer. If it is slightly firm to bite, then it means it is cooked to al dente. If you want your pasta to be very soft, cook them for 2-3 minutes more once they are al dente. Drain the water by carefully transferring the cooked pasta to a large strainer (or a colander).
While pasta is cooking, you can make the red sauce by cooking tomatoes with oregano, chili flakes, and dry basil. Add sauce to a pan and heat it over medium flame. Add cooked pasta and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame. Tomato Pasta is now ready. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese or feta cheese or grated mozzarella cheese.
Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients:
- 400 g sweet potato (peeled, cut into chips)
- 2 tsp cornflour
- pinch mild paprika
- Oleev olive oil spray
- Salt
- Dry Basil
Preparation:
Soak chips in water for 1 hour to remove starch. Drain and pat dry on a paper towel.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C fan-forced. Line 2 trays with baking paper.
Place chips in a zip-lock bag with cornflour and paprika. Shake well until evenly coated.
Place chips in a single layer on trays. Spray with olive oil and bake for 25-30 minutes. turning once. Season with salt and dry basil to taste.
