Hours after George's arrest, he was granted bail by a court in the sexual harassment case. George also alleged vendetta by CM Vijayan as this was the third attempt by the state police to arrest the former MLA in the last two months. “This is vendetta by CM Pinarayi Vijayan and the complainant who had earlier sought help from me,” George said, as quoted by The New Indian Express.

“I haven’t done anything wrong. I have been a public worker all through my life and I am sure no woman would level a harassment allegation against me,” he said.
