'As Kerala Develops, India Will Develop Faster': PM Modi Praises People Of God's Own Country — Top Points

PM Modi said, hardwork and humility are part of the identity of people in Kerala.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in Kerala on a two-day visit to inaugurate and lay foundation stone for several projects, said Kerala is a state of aware and educated people. He also said that if Kerala develops then India will develop faster.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi greeted people as he arrived in Thiruvananthapuram. He also flagged off Kerala's first Vande Bharat train and interacted with a group of children who were given the opportunity to travel in the inaugural train. 

Prime Minister Modi also addressed the people after laying the foundation stone for various projects worth more than Rs 3,200 crore in Kerala.

Some of the top points of his speech:

> PM Modi said that Kerala got its first Vande Bharat Train while Kochi got its water metro. Various connectivity and development projects were inaugurated as well.

> He said, "Today, we are able to run this semi-high speed train (Vande Bharat Express) because India's rail network is transforming at a fast pace and getting ready for more speed.”

> On Centre-State relations, PM Modi said that despite the global crisis, the world sees India as vibrant place of growth. The Centre also prioritizes cooperative federalism and sees the development of states as a step towards India's growth.

PM said that if Kerala develops India grows faster.

> PM Modi also praised the people of Kerala. He said, Kerala is a state of aware and educated people. Hardwork and humility of people here are part of their identity.

> He said, “Central government's global outreach efforts have played a crucial role in increasing India's credibility in the world and Keralites living in other countries are also benefitting from this.”

Along with PM Modi, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, MP Shashi Tharoor among others were present.
