Karnataka Court grants National Investigation Agency 10-day custody of accused in Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. The two individuals in question were recognized as Mussavir Hussain Shazib, responsible for planting the bomb at the cafe, and Abul Matheen Taha, the mastermind behind the attack.

Earlier, CCTV visuals from Dream Guest House in Kolkata, where the two prime suspects of The Rameswaram Cafe blast case stayed from March 25-28 using fake identities were released.

The suspects were brought from Kolkata to the state capital under transit remand, purportedly for their involvement in the March 1 blast at Rameshwaram Cafe, which resulted in the injury for 10 people.

As per the NIA, Shazib planted the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the cafe, while Taahaa was identified as the mastermind behind the incident.

Last month, the NIA declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for individuals offering information leading to the arrest of these two suspects.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara praised the efforts of both the NIA and Karnataka police regarding the arrest. He expressed intentions to investigate potential links with other agencies and highlighted the suspects' involvement in a previous incident.

He said, "We will find out whether they have any links with the other agencies. These two were supposed to have been involved in the earlier Shivamogga blast. They had escaped for almost 3-4 years. And now after this incident, they are caught. NIA will investigate further."

On the arrest of 2 prime suspects in Rameshwaram cafe blast case, Karnataka LoP R Ashoka said, "I congratulate NIA, the team of police from the central government...I think terrorist activity is happening where there is no BJP...Terrorists think that Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are safe places as there is no action against terrorists..."
