Karnataka Church Vandalised Days After Christmas, Baby Jesus Statue Damaged. Probe On
A church was vandalised in Mysuru and the miscreants damaged the statue of baby Jesus along with other items kept in the church.
New Delhi: A church was vandalised just days after Christmas at Priyipatna in Karnataka's Mysuru, reported ANI adding that a statue of baby Jesus was found to be damaged apart from several other items kept in the church. The police suspect it to be a theft and has formed a team to launch a probe into the matter.
"We have formed a team to nab the culprits, we are also looking for available CCTV footage with nearby cameras, it looks like theft as a money box and other such things have been taken away. Further probe underway," said Seema Latkar, Superintendent of Police, Mysuru.

The incident at the Saint Mary's Church took place after Church Father John Paul left for Mysuru and no one was present at the time of the incident.
Father John Paul had lodged a complaint in this regard with the Periyapatna police station. The police officers rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection.
