We could have had better win than this: Sitharaman in Shimla

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Dec 21 (ANI): Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday, while attending a party meeting in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could have had a better win than this in the state.

Sitharaman, who was present as the party observer along with Narendra Tomar in Himachal Pradesh, said, "I wish this result had a bit more of other things, such as beautiful victory. It's a kind of loss, which can't be explained, we all know it. We could have had a better win than this."

Sitharaman further congratulated and thanked each and every 'karyakartas' of BJP on behalf of the Centre.

Sitharaman also mentioned that with Himachal Pradesh, the dream of 'Congress free India' is becoming successful.

"Now with your support our government should be formed so that our dream of Congress free Himachal Pradesh can be successful. With your support, a message has reached that with BJP winning in one more state, BJP's dream of Congress free India is becoming successful," added Sitharaman.

The BJP stood victorious in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections with 44 seats, while the Congress acquired 20 seats in the total 68 constituencies. (ANI)
