WB by-poll: TMC wins Noapara seat

Noapara (West Bengal) [India], Feb 1 (ANI): The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the Noapara assembly seat by-poll with mammoth 1,11,729 votes.

TMC had fielded Sunil Singh as its candidate who was pitted against Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Sandeep Banerjee.

The by-poll was necessitated by the death of Madhusudan Ghose, Congress MLA from the Noapara Assembly seat. (ANI)
