Terror Attack In Pulwama: 2 CRPF Jawans, 1 Policeman Dead

The militants opened fire on district police lines (DPL) premises in Pulwama at around 4:30 am, resulting in injuries to four security personnel, a police official said, adding a policeman later succumbed to his injuries.

A CRPF spokesperson in Srinagar said head constable Ravindra Baban Dhanawade of Maharashtra and constable Jaswant Singh of Haryana died from wounds and a militant was gunned down.

A wreath-laying ceremony for the CRPF men was held at the Recruit Training Centre at Humhama in Srinagar.

The Union home ministry said two special police officers (SPOs) were trapped in the building which was stormed by the militants.
