Siliguri : Part of flyover collapses, no casualty

Siliguri (West Bengal) [India] August 11 (ANI): A portion of National Highway 31D's railway flyover guarder collapsed in Goaltuli, Siliguri early Saturday morning. No casualties were reported from the accident site.

Speaking about the incident, construction manager said, "We are doing the technical analysis and it is only then we can ascertain the actual reason behind the collapse".

Restoration work is underway.

Villagers blocked NH-31D in protest against the incident.

In a similar incident this morning, at least four people were injured after a flyover lintel collapsed on National Highway 28 in Basti District of Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
