Shaktipunj Express Derails: 'We Have Increased Allocations For Safety Related Work,' Says Indian Railways PRO

In yet another incident of a train accident, Shaktipunj Express derailed in UP's Sonbhadra district. Seven coaches of Shaktipunj Express jump off track.

"We have increased allocations for safety related work & addressing problem of renewal & maintenance of tracks," he added.

"The incident happened at 6:25 am near Obra in Sonbhadra; all passengers safe, no injury. Railway min Piyush Goyal briefed," Indian Railways PRO said.

The train was on its way to Jabalpur from Howrah.
