Panchkula Violence: When Rape Accused Don't Get Arrested People Burn Candles, When They Do...People Burn CITIES!

New Delhi: An awkward calm prevailed in Punjab and Haryana on Saturday after incidents of violence on Friday left 30 people dead following the Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in a 15-year-old rape case.

Army units patrolled several areas across the two states through the night that were affected in the Friday mayhem. The riots left nearly 250 others injured. 

However, there is no report of violence since last night in Sirsa, which houses the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters, cops said, affirming that the situation is under control in the area. Here are some of the photos that show how chaos prevailed:
