Oracle on-boards first cohort of startups in Mumbai

New Delhi [India], Oct 5 (ANI): Oracle on Thursday announced the first cohort of startups for its Startup Cloud Accelerator program in Mumbai.

Shortlisted from among several hundreds of startup applicants, the new cohort comprises an interesting mix of companies that use analytics, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

The new startups from Mumbai are Disprz, KiviHealth, iphawk, dooLoopTech and Moneytor. These startups are leveraging new technology solutions across industries such as healthcare, pharma and security. The startups will be entitled to technical and business mentoring by Oracle and industry experts, along with free Oracle Cloud credits, 24x7 access to a co-working space within Oracle's premises, as well as access to Oracle's vast ecosystem of customers, investors and partners.

"We're pleased with the overwhelming response to the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator program. As Indian startups continue to make noticeable strides in technology-led innovation, we are excited to onboard the first batch of startups in Mumbai and look forward to helping them scale new heights," said group vice president of Development, Oracle India, Sanket Atal.

"Each of the new startups bring a unique proposition to their industry and come with high-growth potential. We'll continue to encourage bright minds by creating an environment where engineering thrives," added Atal.

Details of the new cohort at the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator program in Mumbai:

-Disprz, a "knowledge-tech" startup, is focused on helping enterprises achieve more business impact by enabling their workforce to integrate knowledge into their daily work. Disprz aims to make the workforce more knowledgeable, productive and smarter by leveraging technology paradigms like social, mobile, cloud and analytics.

-KiviHealth, an online healthcare marketplace, serves as a one-stop healthcare partner by making interactions between different stakeholders - patients, doctors, labs and pharmacies easier.

-iphawk provides an advanced AI based SaaS platform that allows businesses to protect Intellectual Property (IP) like trademarks, brands and content.

-dooLoopTech provides automated clinical analytics software solutions to the global life sciences and pharmaceutical industry.

-Moneytor is leveraging machine learning and proprietary algorithms to make the currently fragmented stressed receivables market more efficient by improving default recovery rates.

Mumbai is one of the preferred startup destinations in India, presenting an interesting blend of engineering and management talent. Being the financial capital of India, access to investors and funding is propelling the growth of the startup ecosystem in the city.

Launched in April 2016, the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator is a next-generation acceleration initiative driven by Oracle R&D. The program focuses on reimagining enterprise innovation through collaborations with startups that foster co-development and co-innovation, advancing the 'Digital India' initiative. (ANI)
