Mirwaiz petrified of getting exposed: BJP

New Delhi [India], Aug 19 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said that separatist Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is getting antsy because of the crackdown on the flow of funds.

BJP leader R.K. Singh said that that Mirwaiz knows that even he is under the scanner as he has no explanation to the source of his income which supports his lavish lifestyle.

"These people are feeling the pain because there has been a crackdown on the flow of funds, which they used to receive from Pakistan. He (Mirwaiz) is worried because he knows that he is one of the suspects," Singh said.

He further added: "He knows that the nation has a doubt that even he receives money from Pakistan. The militants which have been killed, majority of them belong to Pakistan. I would like to ask him to tell the people of Kashmir, how is he affording his high-end life style, he has no source of income which could support his extravagant lifestyle."

While addressing the Friday congregational prayers at historic Jamia Masjid in downtown Srinagar, Mirwaiz said, "Each day young educated boys are being killed in Kashmir and there is a belief in some that once all of them are killed, the Kashmir problem will be over." (ANI)
