Ministers visit AIIMS to enquire about Vajpayee's health

New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): Scores of political leaders visited All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday morning to enquire about the health condition of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, senior BJP leader LK Advani and daughter Pratibha Advani are among others who visited the hospital.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are also expected to visit AIIMS later in the day.

Vajpayee, whose health condition is critical, was put on life support system on Wednesday. The 93-year-old was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 after complaints of urinary tract infection, low urine output, and chest congestion.

Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AIIMS to enquire about Vajpayee's health. (ANI)
