Lalu Yadav shared morphed image of RJD's Patna Rally?

Lalu Prasad said he was aware of Nitish Kumar's designs of political betrayal and was not ready to name him the chief ministerial candidate when the Grand Alliance was formed in Bihar.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad has had said the 'BJP bhagao desh bachao' rally would herald the decline of the BJP-led NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

In a display of opposition unity against the BJP, political heavyweights including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and SP president Akhilesh Yadav shared a platform at Lalu Prasad's mega rally in Patna on Sunday.

The RJD chief has on microblogging site Twitter shared a photo of Patna rally showing the Gandhi Maidan was packed with people in his support.

Thousands of people though attended the rally despite floods affecting major parts of Seemanchal, Koshi and Mithilanchal regions of north Bihar.

However, news agency ANI tweeted three pictures taken from the same spot where Lalu's photo was clicked and pointed out that the ground was not fully packed as claimed by the RJD chief.

Prasad, his wife, sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap Yadav, and daughter Misa Bharti, a Rajya Sabha MP were seated on the front row of the VVIP dais greeting leaders from other parties on their arrival.

C.P. Joshi of the Congress, NCP's Tarique Anwar, RLD's Choudhary Jayant Singh, CPI's Sudhakar Reddy, former Jharkhand Chief Ministers Hemant Soren of JMM, Babulal Marandi of the JVM, AIUDF leader Baadruddin Azmal and leaders from the DMK, JD-S and RSP also attended the rally.

A large number of people have assembled at the rally.
