India reserves the right to conduct surgical strike again: Nirmal Singh

New Delhi [India], Sept 26 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh echoed similar sentiments as Chief of Army staff Bipin Rawat and said that if Pakistan becomes a challenge to security of its people then reserves the right to conduct surgical strikes again.

"If need arises, and if anyone becomes a challenge, if Pakistan becomes a challenge to the sovereignty and security of the people of our nation, then we reserve our right to strike," the Deputy CM told media.

Meanwhile, Minister of State (MoS) for Prime Minister's office Jitendra Singh refused to opine on the topic and said that experts will take the needed action in the regard.

"I can ensure that the way decisive actions are being taken now, it was never seen before. That is why the situation is changing here," he added.

Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat yesterday asserted that surgical strike conducted by India along the Line of Control (LoC) will be repeated if adversary does not mend its ways.

"Surgical strike was conducted to send a message and if adversaries do not understand, it will be repeated," General Rawat said.

India carried out surgical strike on September 29 2016, eleven days after Pakistan carried out Uri attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from this, Pakistan has been continuously violating ceasefire along the LoC.(ANI)
