Hike launches new social features for groups on the app

New Delhi [India], Dec 14 (ANI): Hike Messenger has announced new social features like vote, bill split, checklists, events with reminders and teen patti for the Groups on the application.

"Our new features will make sharing much easier within the group and raise the fun and productivity quotient. We believe that this could be a key driver for groups to come together and do much more in the online world, " Vishwanath Ramarao, Chief Technical Officer, Hike Messenger, said on the launch of social features.

The group size can be upto 1000 members and all these features can be used with great ease and without the effort of using multiple apps, Hike, India's homegrown messaging platform said.

The vote feature can help to easily create a poll within the group chat making it easier to express opinions and preferences with just a simple tap.

"Figuring out where to throw a surprise birthday party for your friend or choosing a movie to watch becomes much easier with 'Vote'. It's a great feature for school or college elections too as the results are quick and transparent," Hike said.

Another feature is the 'Bill Split' that allows you to share your bills with your friends or split rent and utilities by calculating everyone's share. It has also launched the feature of checklist for helping to organize things and also set the date on Events and Reminders. (ANI)
