Fare hike: AAP’s massive protest at all metro stations in Delhi; DCW plays women safety card

In a survey performed by Delhi Commission for Women 68.23% women have spoken about resorting to other means of transport to evade metro fare hike; which would in turn lead to risk on their safety.

For a travel which cost commuter Rs 30 would now cost him Rs 40, likewise for a travel which cost him Rs 40 would be as dearer as Rs 50.

Before this, a lot of ruckus took place in Delhi assembly, post which Delhi Government has increased the special session of Vidhansabha for another day.
