G20 Agriculture Ministers' Meet To Be Held In Hyderabad From June 15 To 17

G Kishan Reddy said that the final meeting of the G20 agriculture working group is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad, following three previous meetings held in Indore, Chandigarh, and Varanasi.

The G20 agriculture ministers' meeting will be held in Hyderabad for three days starting Thursday. The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said that this event will serve as a platform for global leaders to engage in impactful discussions and exchange ideas on addressing worldwide opportunities for achieving sustainable agriculture.

"#G20AMM2023 is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad from June 15th to June 17th. This event will witness one of the most impactful discussions where global leaders will be exchanging ideas to address worldwide possibilities in achieving sustainable agriculture," the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said in a tweet on Tuesday.

On Monday, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy said in Hyderabad that the final meeting of the G20 agriculture working group is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad, following three previous meetings held in Indore, Chandigarh, and Varanasi. In addition to India, 29 other countries will participate in the three-day event. This includes G20 countries such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, South Africa, Indonesia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the USA, and the UK. Additionally, ministers from nine guest countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Oman, Nigeria, Spain, and Vietnam, would also participate, he said.

The meeting will see the participation of agriculture ministers from the 29 countries as well as high-level officials, along with representatives from 10 international organisations. The agenda for the meeting will encompass topics such as food security, sustainable agriculture for nutritional food, women's leadership in agriculture development, agriculture and biodiversity, and adapting the agricultural sector to climate change.Furthermore, Kishan Reddy shared that the G20 tourism ministers' meeting is set to take place in Goa from June 19 to 22.
