Ideas Of India 3.0: Suella Braverman Against Gaza Ceasefire, Says Israel Has Right To Defend Itself

Speaking at ABP Network's Ideas of India Summit, Braverman said that the war between Israel and Gaza could stop tomorrow if Hamas laid down their arms and returned the hostages.

Ideas Of India 2024: Former UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman said on Saturday that calls for a ceasefire in Gaza are naive and dangerous and she is against such calls. She further stated that Israel has the right to defend itself. Speaking at ABP Network's Ideas of India Summit on 'The World in Ferment: Closing Borders, Brutal Wars' the Tory MP said that the war between Israel and Gaza could stop tomorrow if Hamas laid down their arms if Hamas returned the hostages that they still hold in captivity.

“If you look at the Middle East, Israel ensured one of the most atrocious acts of brutality that has been seen in decades by the terror group Hamas, it's also under attack from Hizbullah. Israel has the right to defend herself within the limits of international law, of course, but calls for an immediate ceasefire, are naive and dangerous. I want to make it clear that I am against those calls for an immediate ceasefire because this war in the Middle East could stop tomorrow if Hamas laid down its arms if Hamas returned the hostages that they still hold in captivity illegally, and if Hamas committed to peace, that's how we get an immediate ceasefire,” Braverman said.
